Love is such a wonderful thing

Whether it’s Temporary,

Around Momentarily

Or even if it’s suddenly taken away

A million words

A million tears couldn’t describe how I am feeling

I apologize in advance for my selfishness

Cause I want nothing more than for you to be here with me

Now is the time for me to prove how strong I am

But I must say I am grateful

I am grateful to be able to sit with such a powerful man

I am grateful to be able to watch over my beautiful family

All of them at one time

Therefore I am resting

I have no more worries

My body was just a temporary place for my soul

Physically I am no longer here

But my soul is with you forever

Dear Daddy,

            At two years old people may think I don’t understand what’s going on, but I understand completely. I’m not able to express myself like others but I know when you are here and I know when you are not here. You apologize for the things that you think you have done wrong and I forgive you, but I must admit there is no need for apologies. I commend you for your honesty but please don’t be upset with yourself, we all make mistakes. I hold on to the short moments that we have shared but I don’t worry cause I know there are many more to come. I am a reflection of you and over the years I will continue to make you proud. When I reach out for you Daddy just promise me you will guide me. When I call out to you Daddy just promise you will answer. Watch me as I grow into the beautiful young lady that you expect of me. I promise I won’t let you down. I have to be the luckiest little girl in the world to be blessed with a father like you. And now I am even luckier and beyond blessed to have you watch over me.
